WIL Lunch at Antonello's
BACK TO THE BAD OLD DAYS?
THE RECENT TROUBLING TURN OF EVENTS ON THE SUPREME COURT
WILL BE OUR NEXT TOPIC
Professor Leah Litman
The recent troubling turn of events on the Supreme Court will be the topic of our next WIL lunch.
Are we returning to the time when abortions were illegal and women were put in their place?
Now that we’re losing the Supreme Court, is there any hope of salvaging a women’s right to self-autonomy? If Roe is overturned, what will happen?
Our lunch features Professor Leah Litman, an expert on the Supreme Court and federal powers. She actually clerked for retiring Justice Kennedy. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Michigan Law School where she served as Editor in Chief of the Law Review. She is now a Professor at the School of Law at UCI.
